Professor Katsuki sucessfully conducted a training course, in Sri Lanka on "management of cleft palate surgery".
As a part of the program for " International training centre in Sri Lanka", .AFOC dispatched Professor Katsuki to Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya. This program was organized by JSOMS, with AFOC's sponsorship and initially will be continued as an annual event in Peradeniya. Prof. Katsuki played the main role as the cheif trainer and this program included clinical sessions both at the operating theater and surgical wards. In addition, lectuers and discussions supplemented the program covering complete management of cleft palate surgery. Three Japanese and 3 Sri lankan trainee OMS surgeons also took part in this program which was held from September, 6th to October 4th , 2004.
